Who we are
Speechwing is operated by CVPK Digital Studio LLC, trading as Digital Kitchen. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Speechwing to prepare and rehearse a speech.

Information used by Speechwing
Your speech. We store the details you enter, such as names, your relationship to the people involved, interview answers, stories, preferences and instructions for a rewrite. We also store generated speeches, saved versions and your edits. What you share may include information about other people. Use details you have the right to share and avoid private information that the speech does not need.
Your account. Speechwing can start with a guest account. Its account ID and session information keep your speeches connected to your account. If you add an email address for purchase recovery, we use it to verify access and help you recover the purchase.
Purchases. Purchase records can include the account and speech linked to a purchase, the product, payment status and transaction references. The payment provider handles payment details. Speechwing does not store full card numbers. If you contact us about a purchase, we also receive the details you send us.
Voice answers. Dictation in the iPhone and iPad app uses on-device speech recognition when available. The Android app does not offer dictation. Browser dictation may use your browser’s speech service. When browser processing is needed, Speechwing asks before starting and your voice may be sent to that browser provider. Recognised text is added to your answer. Speechwing does not keep a voice recording of that dictation.
Rehearsals. Recording is optional and requires microphone permission. Audio files are stored on the device used to make them. Speechwing syncs recording details, including a recording ID and duration, rather than uploading the audio file. A recording made on one device is not available to play on another device through that sync.
Technical information. Our services use account identifiers, request and access records, and generation records such as the model used, token usage, request outcome and timing. Hosting and service providers may also receive technical information needed to handle a request, such as an IP address. When Sentry error reporting is enabled, our code filters speech text, interview answers and account details from the reports before sending them to Sentry.
Reports about AI text. If you use Report this text, we keep the report with your account: the speech it is about, the reason you chose and any note you add. We read reports to fix problems with the writing and to prevent misuse.
Why we use it
We use this information to save and sync your work, write and revise your speech, provide rehearsal tools, verify purchases and account access, answer support requests, and investigate technical problems or misuse. We also keep records needed for payment disputes, accounting and applicable legal obligations.
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we use account and purchase information to provide the service you request. We use necessary technical records for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and records required by law to meet legal obligations. Where a use requires consent, you may withdraw that consent. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Where information goes
Your saved interview answers and speech text are sent to our backend. The writing request also sends relevant answers, speech details and rewrite instructions to the AI services used for that request. These services are OpenRouter, which routes the request, and Google, whose Gemini model writes it. We send these requests only with zero data retention, so Google does not store them or use them for training. This is needed to generate or revise the speech; the writing service is not confined to your device.
Supabase provides account and data services. Resend sends account verification and access-recovery emails when that delivery is enabled. Vercel provides web hosting. Stripe handles web payments where they are available. Apple handles purchases billed through the App Store and Google handles purchases billed through Google Play; RevenueCat helps match those purchases to your account. Sentry receives filtered technical error reports when enabled. Providers use the information needed for their part of the service and may have separate obligations for the information they handle.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to resolve a payment dispute. Information can be processed in countries where we and our providers operate. Privacy rules differ between countries.
Your AI writing choice
Speechwing asks for your permission before sending a writing request to AI services. You can decline or change your choice through AI writing permission in the app’s Settings or the website footer. Your saved answers and speech remain available if you do not allow AI writing. Manual editing, rehearsal and export remain available under the existing access rules.
Information stored on your device
Speechwing saves working copies of speeches and account session information on your device so that you can continue working and keep access to your account. It also stores rehearsal audio and may create cached exports. Browser storage and native app storage are used for these functions.
After a verified purchase, Speechwing keeps a managed device copy of that paid speech for offline rehearsal and PDF export. The server controls paid access. On a confirmed refund, new server reads of that speech stop. Its managed device copy, including edits, is removed at the next sync on each device where Speechwing shows the purchase as refunded. A copy on any other device stays there, and our servers no longer open it. If the store reverses the refund, paid access returns once it shows the purchase as yours again. Contact us if it does not. Exported or shared PDFs cannot be recalled.
Copies you export, download or share may be held outside Speechwing. You control those copies through the app or location where you saved or shared them.
Keeping information
We keep hosted interview answers and saved speeches to provide Speechwing, unless you request deletion sooner. The 30-day AI rewrite window does not set a deletion date for your saved speech.
Purchase and dispute records are kept for access recovery, accounting, applicable legal obligations and payment disputes. Records of a deletion request are kept to complete deletion and prevent old sessions or installations from restoring deleted data. Usage records account for AI writing calls and their costs. We also keep records of App Store and Google Play purchase events for our own reporting. Each holds the event type, the product, the store, the time and the price, and none holds your email or your speech. Some of these records remain after account deletion. A record that a purchase was refunded is one of them. It holds no speech text.
We use the purpose of each record, unresolved requests or disputes, and any applicable legal obligation to decide how long it is needed. This includes support correspondence and technical records used to investigate a problem or misuse. We do not apply one retention period to every kind of record. Provider records and backups also depend on the relevant service settings and provider terms; deletion does not erase every copy at the same moment.
Deleting your account
Use the account-deletion option in Speechwing to request deletion, including for a guest account. The app shows whether the request is pending or complete. The process removes the account and its associated interview answers, speeches and saved versions, and clears Speechwing's managed local copies on the installation where you make the request once server deletion is confirmed.
Archiving a speech hides it from the ordinary speech list. It does not delete the speech. Uninstalling the app does not request account deletion.
Deletion does not remove copies you downloaded or shared, copies on other devices, or every provider or backup copy at the same moment. Purchase records and the separate records described above may remain. Deleting an account is also separate from requesting a refund.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your saved speech and decide whether to record a rehearsal. You can change microphone permission in your device settings.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, copy or delete personal information, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for a use. Contact us to make a request or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before providing information or changing it. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We will date a published update and explain material changes where required.
